School time again

Our grandson is in his senior year of high school this year. I can hardly believe it.

Alex is so excited about this year. He said it's going to be his best year yet. He fussed with this and that getting ready for school as most kids do. Wouldn't you know it though. His skin broke out the week before school was to start.

Luckily, he had ordered some acne treatment from a great site I found for him online, so he began to use the ointment right away. By the first day of school, his acne was all cleared up. That was one less thing for him to be worried about that first day. He certainly is growing up fast! We're so very proud of that young man.

What happens in Vegas...........

We haven't been to Las Vegas in ages so I told my husband we're overdue. He agreed to go if I find a good deal on a trip for us.

So, I did some checking on Las Vegas travel and found a super link with some great deals. Being the end of the season, this is the perfect time for a trip there.

Well, I have booked a trip for us and can hardly wait. There is something very relaxing about the desert and Las Vegas. I'm off to pack. =)

Always looking for deals

My family and friends know that I spend a lot of time on the Internet looking for good deals on this and that. Knowing this, they always let me know if they are in the market for something in particular.

My neighbor is planning a trip for the holidays and asked me to keep my eyes open. Well, I did some checking around for travel deals and found this great site with some incredible prices for trips. I sent the link to Shermans Travel to my friend and she is booking a trip as I write this.

I am always so happy to be able to help out a friend.

Love my computer!!

I truly could avoid going out at all if I wanted to. I can pay bills, invest, order everything we need in the way of household goods and wearing apparel, all online.

I can even shop for online auto insurance, compare prices and get the best deal available. All of this conveniently taken care of from the comfort of my own home.

This is especially important now with gas so high. I try to do all that I can online and save driving for appointments to the doctor etc. We are all so fortunate to live during this computerized age. We really are.

My newest multimedia toy

I don't know when I have been more excited about a new device as I am my
Nokia N810. The latest thing in handheld devices, the N810 has a full pullout keyboard. Easy to use, convenient for when I'm away from my computer, it's really a must have for anyone who is in business. We all use email in our business interactions these days. We even communicate with our doctors via email from time to time.

I don't know how I ever got along without my hand held. They have come down in price and keep improving with every turn.You'll wonder how you ever got along without yours once you get one.

My love affair with books

I have had an ongoing love affair with books for as long as I can remember. I truly can't remember a time when I didn't have a book that I was reading waiting for me to just sit down and lose myself in it's pages. Always looking for a good buy on the latest books I am pleased when I find a site that has great prices on books.

I must admit, though, that I never thought of buying
textbooks online, but why not?? Textbooks are usually in such demand in school bookstores that you have to wait to get what you need. With competitive prices and a steady supply, I find that my "off to college" nieces and nephews are all ordering theirs online. What a great idea!!

Keeping in touch

We have a motor home and are doing a lot of traveling this summer. Right now we are in California visiting friends and family.

My husband and I both have online businesses so we need internet access. Most RV parks have wireless internet access now, so we recently bought a
laptop computer. We are so pleased with it and were amazed at how reasonable it was to purchase.

Now, no matter where we go, we are able to keep up with our work as well as stay in touch with our family.
